Ed Bell

An experienced Business and IT executive, Ed Bell focuses on practical technology solutions in energy, energy efficiency and healthcare industries. Mr. Bell has worked on risk management, technology, strategic review and organizational realignment projects for the oil & gas, merchant trading, utility and independent power producing sectors of the energy industry as well as having led development teams and building cloud-based systems in support of a variety of healthcare related projects. For many years, Mr. Bell has been consulting to clients in energy markets ranging from business unit managers to corporate officers on topics of technology strategy, commodity trading, corporate risk management and business process and practice improvement. In addition to extensive systems experience, systems development and systems implementation experience, Mr. Bell was a founding member of the Global Energy Management Institute at the University of Houston and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in energy trading systems at the C.T. Bauer College of Business. Randy is an accomplished career risk manager and advisory consultant in energy trading and risk management, helping businesses better understand and manage the uncertainties that can impact strategic decisions, models, stakeholders, operations, and results. His focus is the design and implementation of leading practice risk management programs, tailored risk solutions and approaches to help drive organizational value and performance improvement. Over the course of his career, Randy has delivered his services to over 50 clients in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Randy graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in Economics, and is an Energy Risk Professional (ERP®).
